RIGGING
The Sturges Center for the Fine Arts has a complete fly system providing 21 single purchase counter-weighted lines, each with an arbor capacity of 600lbs. The pipes are 1 1/2" I.D. (schedule 40) and the length is 32'.
There are 4 pairs of legs, and 4 border maskings, all of which are non-pleated black velour. The main curtain flies in a guillotine direction and can be opened side to side. The operation of the main curtain is located off stage right. The main curtain is a pleated 25oz. velour, brick red in color.
There is a light blue cyclorama located 19' - 2" from the main curtain, allowing enough room upstage for crossover space.
There is a "Mid-Stage" red curtain on line set 8, located 7' - 11' from the main curtain. It is in two panels 15'W x 15'H with a one foot overlap.
There is a Black Traveler located 18' - 6" from the main curtain.
Lines are controlled from the locking rails on stage left and stage right.
Due to local fire regulations the fire safty curtain must not be obstructed in any manner which could prevent its deployment or complet contact with the stage floor.
There are clear-com headset stations appropriately distributed at all necessary locations.
There is a 12'Hx20'W Perforated Cinema Screen located on line 7. Moving this screen is not recommended.
There is motorized 9'Hx12'W Glass Beaded Screen on line set 9.
